WordPress Themes For The Haunt Industry Available
Published on May 3rd, 2010

I’ve been extremely busy working on projects for both my clients and myself, but I want to take a few minutes to let you all know about some updates that I have.

First, over the past few months, I’ve been building some new website templates for the Haunted House Industry. These templates were designed for haunted houses to be able to purchase a clean looking, affordable, and solid coded website that could be easily maintained by the haunt owners. The problem was that it required you had some knowledge of HTML and PHP to get things up and running. That wasn’t going to work as the average haunt owner doesn’t know HTML & PHP, have the time to do any web development, and/or can’t afford to hire a webmaster. So, I’ve got back to all the templates that I designed and converted them into something that would allow any haunt owner to install and get running without any web development experience. So I’ve converted all of my themes to work with WordPress. If your not already familiar with WordPress (http://www.wordpress.org), I highly recommend that you take a few minutes and check it out. WordPress is a very easy, open-source, and free blogging software. Many websites like CNN, Forbes, Boxee, MTV, including this site use WordPress. Did I also mention that it’s free? To help haunt owners as much as I can, I’ve designed each of the themes with the haunted house itself specifically in mind. Each theme has a very simple to use control panel that allows haunt owners to plug in their house information and go. Getting each theme up and running with your custom haunt information for your house takes only a few minutes.

Second, Now that I’ve got the ease of use part taken care of, it’s now to focus on the affordable part. In a attempt to allow haunts to have a great looking website that they don’t have to spend their entire marketing budget on, I’ve decided to sell each theme around $350 each. With the economy the way it is and haunts having to use every dollar they have for construction, props, and actors, spending a $1,000 or more on a website just isn’t possible. So this is my attempt to help the haunt owners with their websites while saving a little bit of cash that can be used to buy more blood or props this season. You can find all of my templates that I have available now on my website at http://www.charlesterry.net/buy. If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to contact me. I will be more than happy to answer any questions or to help you get your theme installed and running.

Finally, I’ve just finished a new theme that is available now on my site. I call it, “The Basement”. With the new “Nightmare on Elm Street” movie being released this past weekend, I got inspired to create a theme that gives you a feeling of being trapped in a dark basement / boiler room. The theme can be viewed by visiting http://www.charlesterry.net/2010/05/the-basement/.  Below are some it’s features:

- A photo & video news billboard on the front page allowing the haunt to deliver high impact marketing and media.
- Includes both a Full and Quick Info Websites.
- Includes a Media Gallery for Photo & Video Delivery
- Social Media Website Links Available to Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and others
- Twitter Status updates integrated into website.
- "Purchase Now Tickets" automatically appear and disappear by dates you set in the control panel allowing for a "set it and forget it" operation.

If you have any questions or if you think I can help you with your project needs, please feel free to contact me. I’m always more than happy to see how I can help clients reach new audiences.
